About Me

Karen Swartz, Allied Member ASID: Karen Swartz, owner of Inspired Interiors, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from James Madison University. Prior to starting Inspired Interiors in 2004, she was employed as a Designer at Ethan Allen Home Interiors in Glen Allen, VA for over 3 years. Karen has over 10 years experience in residential interior design projects of all sizes and styles. Karen's design approach is influenced by her travels throughout the United States and abroad, where she has observed a variety of architectural and interior design styles. She encourages customers to allow their homes to evolve into a unique, collected look by adding furnishings and accessories that personalize their space and tell a story about a special time in their life. In fact, the name Inspired Interiors came about as a result of the inspired rooms and spaces she creates for her clients. After listening to a client describe their special interests and how they live and work, Karen responds accordingly to design a home that both suits and reflects her client.
